The Challenge

Existing audiobook apps optimise for the catalogue view — making it easy to browse and buy — but fail to support the actual listening experience.

Users lose their place, forget what they were listening to, and get overwhelmed by recommendations that don't account for their mood, time available, or reading history.

Approach

A session-first interface that opens directly to where the user left off, a smart "right now" recommendation engine that factors in available time and recent listening, and a progress-first library view that makes momentum visible and tangible. The design language draws from physical books — chapter markers, marginalia — to make the digital experience feel familiar and rewarding.
